I decided to add a page to Rockingham Memories that a local citizen of Richmond County could contribute, through his own personal accounts, of events around Rockingham & Richmond County with photos, stories or events he had attended. Bill Dennis was the person that I had in mind for this new page, as he has been so active in different community activities for Richmond County and Rockingham - and seems to have a knack for sending me some great pieces of information, stories and photos of different events.
I asked Bill for a title for his page and he suggested "The Town Crier", with this quote, "David Freeman told me years ago his grandson Jason Wise said I would make a good Town Crier. Jason was around 10 years old at the time, and I have never forgotten that". That seemed a perfect fit to me for this new page.
