Effective 01-29-11, I have decided to put The Rockingham Quiz only on Facebook. That looks like the only way I can get the participation I had hoped for. Hope you all will join in and help figure out the photo identities I insert there.
Effective 01-20-11, I have decided to put The Rockingham Quiz on my blog, As Time Goes By, ONLY. I believe there was just too much confusion on having the photos on one and the answers on the other. I will leave this page up in my links but from now on, all participation on The Rockingham Quiz will be on my blog.
A few months ago I started something like this - in fact, it was called The Rockingham Quiz - but I gave it up after a while for one reason or the other. Now, I am doing it again. I had quite a bit of interest on the previous one so I thought it was time to try it again. Only this time, it will work a little different. I am going to use this website as well as my blog - As Time Goes By to facilitate it.
I will put the item or items on this page plus on As Time Goes By - under the title of The Rockingham Quiz - 01-20-11 or whatever the date of insertion is. The item(s) could be a photo, a quote or anything pertaining to Rockingham or Richmond County today or in the past. More than likely you can find this item on one of my two websites - this one or Rockingham Remembered. But, some may be lifted out of one of my Rocket annuals - 1965, 1966 or 1967, mainly because those are the only ones I have.
I will post the ANSWERS in the Comment section of each insertion on the blog. The time of posting the answer will vary, depending on how many comments I receive on a particular item.
When I insert a new item here and on my blog, I will make an announcement on the main page and Facebook.
If you have an item of interest that you would like me to add here for others to try to identify, please do....as long as it has something to do with Rockingham or Richmond County.
I'm trying to keep the info on these two mediums of mine in order to have the information available for viewers in the future. So I hope you will keep that in mind when you participate.
This is yet another attempt at keeping our Rockingham memories alive and hope you will help.
