So What Are You Whining About?
A story of love, understanding, compassion, grace and faith written by Kellie Roberts
I want to tell you about two women that I know. They both have suffered for many years with life threatening health problems and excruciating pain, so much so that one has no teeth left because she has ground them all down to her gums. Their good days are worse than my worst days! They are both just a couple of years older than me. If you didn't know them you would think they would be the last person you would want to talk to, especially when you're having a bad day yourself. I mean, how can someone that is that bad off and who are basically prisoners in their own homes and bodies NOT be someone that will bring you down from all their woes and hardships!!! You know the kind of people I'm talking about, the ones that are so miserable in their own lives that they are always complaining about someone, and looking for something to justify their petty complaints and judgmental attitudes. I was like that at a time in my life when I was miserable, I'm sure at times some of my friends and family hated talking to me!
When I start to have a pity party, I think of these two along with a few others and I quickly snap out of it and ask for forgiveness. When I talk to either of them, they never talk much if any about what they deal with, they will say "aah, I'm alright sweetie, how are you"! They are like a ray of sunshine, finding beauty and compassion in everything. They choose not to whine, bicker or judge. One of them has called me quite a few times after one of her many near death episodes just to let me know she is thinking of "me".
I often ask myself, "why do they have to suffer so much"? Well I think I know, they are here to teach what Christlike love is really all about. They have more inner-strength than the richest, healthiest people that I know. They are truly my heroes and I know that they will be rewarded GREATLY when they return home to their Heavenly Father! They both are my cousins and their names are Sharon & Diane, they are truly Angels and I am very blessed to have them in my life!

Causey women....Aunt Catherine, Nickie, Aunt Laura Mae, Diane, Sharon!
