Safie Mill, originally known as Hannah Picket Mill No. 1, was razed over several years beginning in 2003, although the mill's stair tower still stood as of February 2006. (2010, that is all that is left of Safie Mill). William B. Cole chartered the mill in 1906 and construction was completed in 1908.
