Hello Joel! My name is Kevin Baxley and I’m from Rockingham - went to Rockingham High [ 1967- 1972 ] and graduated from Richmond Senior in 1974. I worked at Clark Equipment company in R’ham for over 10 years and when they left town , I got a job down here in Maxton,N.C. at Campbells Soup Company. I've been working here in Maxton for over 24 years now and I live here in town about two blocks from where I think you may have worked as a clerk for the railroad! I am sending a picture with this e-mail. I took it when it snowed here on Jan. 10th 2011. Also – if you still can’t remember the Baxley name—My father was Grover C. Baxley whom owned and operated Watson-King Funeral Home. I love reading your R’ham web page and that is where I got your QUE on when you worked here in Maxton. Also I hope your wife is doing better and recovers!
(Although this is not in Richmond County it is one of Rockingham and Hamlet's sister cities....And a place I once worked, as Kevin noted. jhb)
