1956 Rockingham High School Star Athletes

Here are a couple of old photos from about 1956 (looks like a ‘54 auto parked near the school) you might like to add to your collection. This in PICKETTE ELLERBE, JR. and J. LEONARD FARRIS, JR.  As I mentioned years ago, there were several “Jr.s” who played for Coach Eutsler whose fathers also played in the early years for ROCKINGHAM HIGH: PICKETTE ELLERBE Sr. & Jr.; OLEN SMITH Sr. & Jr.; HARRY WEST Sr. & Jr. Also, there were AMMY WEBB and son ALDEN WEBB; JESSIE PHIFER and his son PAT PHIFER were Captains of their respective teams, and possibly the only father-son on Rockingham High State Championship teams: JESSIE in 1924 and PAT in 1959.
