Rockingham Memories
Stories & Emails From You
I went to the Concert at Rockingham in 1974.

I remember we lived in Charlotte at the time and I went with my brother and two sister and a brother in law and another guy that had came up with my brother in law from Ga.

We got there and had to park like 3 miles away and had to walk to the speedway.

We got separated from my brother and sister and brother in law and the whole time of the concert could find them.

We saw friend and they would tell us where they had last seen them,

Spend the night on turn 2 hoping the next morning they would see us as they left.

Was there and watch Alice Cooper play at midnight or when the fireworks went off.

Fell asleep and woke the next morning and hike out to the car.

To find out that they had left us. They had thought we had caught a ride with friends.

Made our way to the interstate and I think the second car that came along pick us up and took us all the way back to Charlotte.

Remember they had lowboy trailer taking  people out of town. We got on one of them with about 50 other people.

What a time in my life that was.

Wish I had pictures.
